The Lost Boulder And Others: More Boulder Problems Deep In Eldorado


*Note to readers, these are all very old problems that I or others found and did in the 1990s. I'm just posting them on the net now to keep the Eldo stoke alive!
Eldorado keeps revealing its gems to us. After posting about the new projects way up on the upper slopes of Eldorado Canyon a couple weeks ago, we decided to hike in to the now classic Lost Boulder and mess around. Although we were there just a couple weeks ago sending the tall line on the Eldorado Boulder, we didn't hit the Lost Boulder that day.

Reaching into the crux move of Lost...

The Lost Boulder is home to four real solid, classic boulder problems: Lost V11, The Elegant Universe V10 (V11 with the sit), Elegant Infinite V10, and a new problem right of Lost which heads up the arete behind the tree (V7ish) - I'll call it Infinitely not Elegant.

Exploring further, a couple other tasty bits can be found in the vacinity. They are more moderate in the grades, adding to the density of problems located in the Lost area. The real treat, however, comes in the next post about a boulder I'm calling The Whale. The size of the Eldorado Boulder, the Whale has hard lines on all sides. Photos are to come in the next post...
